Gratitude Boosts Resilience and Well-Being

The more we practice finding something to be grateful for each day, the more it changes our way of seeing and being. A gratitude practice can help open our heart to all of life and boost our happiness, resilience, and sense of well-being. It can be something simple that we bring our attention to, something right in front of us. We can give thanks for the kindness and goodness of friends and strangers. For what we have, materially and in spirit. For the beauty we can find all around us.

During the holidays, when we turn our attention to loved ones near and far, we can feel gratitude for their presence in our heart and reflect on how they have contributed to our life. We can express our love and gratefulness in a thoughtful card or by attentive listening to how they are during a phone call or visit. When we sit down to our Thanksgiving meal, we can take a moment to appreciate all the people and work that went into bringing this food to our table. And pause to remember those who are suffering hardship around the world.

At Massage Therapy Center Palo Alto, we are grateful for the support and appreciation we have received from our clients over the past 41 years, especially during these past few Covid years. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and enhance your health and well-being with therapeutic bodywork. We wish you an open, grateful heart and a very Happy Thanksgiving!
