Massage Therapy Center has been a trusted partner of local hospitals to provide lymphatic massages to their cancer patients. We have four experienced lymphatic massage therapists: Kristi, Jiong, Julie, and Loan.
Signs you received a REAL lymphatic massage
- You needed to urinate more after your session
- The pressure was very light (lighter than a regular massage)
- You felt very relaxed, even though the massage was light
- Movements were slow, repetitive, and rhythmic
- You felt less bloated or less swollen, not sore
- It did not feel like muscle work
Signs you received a FAKE “lymphatic” massage
- It felt like a regular massage, just lighter
- Therapist worked mainly on muscles (back, shoulders, knots)
- Pressure was deep, painful, or intense
- No focus on lymph node areas (neck, armpit, etc.)
- Movements felt random, not structured
- Therapist claimed it will “burn fat” or cause weight loss
- You left feeling sore after
- your therapist uses a lot of oil and their hands are gliding smoothly over your skin
